1. Animations

Union Lido has an amazing animations team. The animators are trained in dance, sport and music and will guide you through lots of different activities, whether its midnight yoga, street dance or an evening show. No matter what age or what ability, the animation team will entertain you! Read about the Animation Team’s different  kids activities based around sports, crafts, dances, modelling and nature.

2. Swimming Pools

Union Lido has two main swimming pools, Aqua Park Mare and Aqua Park Laguna.

Aqua Park Mare has a beach view, an easy river, a soft lagoon, slides, Jacuzzis, a semi-Olympic swimming pool and plenty of sunbathing space. Aqua Park Laguna has white sands surrounding the pool, a grotto, a waterfall, water music, a jet stream pool, a wild river, a water castle, Jacuzzi beds, a big sunbathing area, palm trees, a giant slide and a Bar and Music Hall. There’s also the Art&Park Hotel Pool which is children’s pools and Jacuzzis.

3. Spas and wellbeing

Marino Wellness Club is an exclusive option for a luxurious addition to your holiday. With 9 baths full of health enhancing sea salt and algae, you’ll leave looking and feeling radiant and relaxed!

W10 Leisure Building - This has an endless pool, an outdoor pool, a steam bath, hydromassage tubs, an indoor relaxation area and a solarium.

4. Beaches.

Lido’s adjacent beach is of Blue Flag quality, which in short means that it is clean and beautiful. On the beach you can rent or hire pedalos, kayaks, sunloungers. You can also find bars, and places to buy sunglasses, dresses, bags and jewellery.

5. Sports

No matter what your sport is, chances are you’ll find it at Union Lido!

The on site sports include the following: Aqua gym, swimming school, pedal boats, canoes, windsurfing, diving school, bike hire, golf academy, minigolf, ping pong, archery, tennis, horse riding, football, obstacle course, jogging area, skating rink, volleyball, stretching, gymnastics, step, LBT, body pump, beach walk,hydrobike.

You’ll go home fit as a fiddle!

6. Nature

Obviously, there’s the sea, the beaches, the sand dunes, but there’s also a secret about Union Lido… Nearby is the mysterious Tegnue. It is a diver’s paradise, lying in the Adriatic Sea in the Gulf of Venice. Dive down and see the rock fish, spider crabs and European lobsters. You never know what treasure you might discover there!

The Parco Turistico del Cavallino is a large nature and wildlife park nearby with a pretty canal running through it and fantastic cycle trails.

7.  Shopping

You are spoilt for choice for shops at Union Lido. Not only do you have Venice’s finest high streets just a boat ride away, there’s also an abundance of local day and night markets.

There’s an impressive array of on-site shops at Union Lido and you’ll forget that you’re on a campsite and not a shopping mall! You can find the following:
Book shop, camping market, fruit and veg, hairdressers, local handmade craft shop, jewellers, bakers, tobaccanist, boutiques, Murano glassware, newsagents, opticians, photo shop, Italian shoe shop, pharmacy, Venetian art shop, supermarkets.

8. Night Life

Empire is Union Lido’s nearest nightclub which is well-priced and good fun.
Amongst the night time entertainment on site, there is a church choir, a piano bar, organ recitals, local bands, folklore quartets.
For a truly memorable evening, go to the Dance on the Beach, the swimming pool party, the Venetian mask parade, or ballroom dancing.

And don’t forget the numerous fireworks displays, including the infamous ‘Beach on Fire’ display!

9. Food and cuisine

After all that sport and dancing, you’ll work up quite an appetite. Luckily Union Lido boasts loads of on site restaurants with a range of cuisines to suit any taste: Fish, Pugliese, Italian, Venetian, Steak and Grill, Asian, International, Mediterreanean, home made cakes, home made ice cream, crepes, sundaes, cocktails, waffles, pizza, fruit bar, aperitifs and brushchette.

10. Excursions

When in the Venetian Riviera it would be a huge shame to go home without seeing Venice, whether you see the Venetian Islands, Venice by night or Venice lagoon.
If you want some action, there are lots of theme parks and other tourist attractions in the area such as Aqualandia (Italy’s Number 1 Waterpark!) and the Jolly Roger sea adventure. There is a trip for everyone, just ask your reps at Al Fresco reception!
