Nightlife in the Venetian Riviera - Al Fresco Holidays
At Al Fresco sites in the Venetian Riviera, guests’ days are jam-packed with activities, sports, sightseeing, relaxing or spending time with the family. But what about the nights? Here’s a guide to how to spend your evenings on your holiday.
With the family
There are a lot of options for families, and every night there is something different happening in the park centre, whether it’s a play, a show or live music. Although we have guests from a range of countries, the ‘animators’ ensure that everybody understands and that all ages can enjoy themselves.
The parks provide everything; from ‘Baby Dance’ to live rock bands to the Vivaldi Chamber Orchestra, as well as this week’s ‘The Wizard of Oz’, fashion shows and midnight sports.
There are regular musical firework displays on the beach, and sitting on the sand on a warm evening watching the lights sparkle across the sea acts as a great memento from your holiday.
If you’re a foodie, you will love this area. Of course, typical Italian food is the most common and great pastas, pizzas, calzone, salads, risottos and ice cream can be found in Ca’Savio at Villa Gentile, opposite Marina di Venezia at Vanin, and at a selection of restaurants in Cavallino and Jesolo, including Chinese food and hog roasts.
In addition, there are the campsite restaurants which serve, alongside the Italian dishes, Dutch frikandels, American hamburgers, battered fish, grills and crepes, sundaes, cocktails and ice-drinks.
There are also a lot of restaurants on and near the beaches with fresh fish, burgers, pizzas and desserts so you can spend as much time by the sea as possible!
For young adults
If you’re looking to get dressed up and dance, you’ll be sharing the floor with other guests, campsite workers and local Italians. There are plenty of bars serving good cocktails, wine and beers in Jesolo and staff will be happy to point you to the most popular club that night if you can last into the small hours!
A little closer to the campsites, after having a drink in the on-site bars, popular choices for clubs are Empire (Caballarin), Beach Bar and Sound Beach (Ca’Savio). Look out for the Pirate Boat Night too, a couple of times per season, the Jolly Roger will come and pick you and your crew-mates up and take you on a 3 hour cruise around the lagoon, whilst you enjoy the free bar. Be careful not to go overboard!
Something that everybody should experience while they are here is an evening trip to Venice. After dark, most tourists disappear and Venice transforms into a twinkling, magical sight. Read the ‘Venice by Night’ blog for more.
