Home Made Rose Lemonade Recipe

If you are looking for a refreshing summer drink that is non alcoholic, but utterly delicious, then you couldn't go far wrong with home made Rose Lemonade. After trying the utterly scrumptious fentimans rose lemonade at a local national trust property, I was inspired to make my own as it costs over £2 a bottle. So, could I replicate this glorious, summer drink at home??

YES YES YES I could!!

First, you need to make a basic homemade lemonade. If you haven't tried this before, then I can HIGHLY recommend as it is just so refreshing and scrumptious!

This really is the taste of al fresco summer in a glass and is delicious with a BBQ or refreshing if you are wanting a cooling drink!

You will need:

The juice of 6 lemons
2 pints of water (I always use soda water to get the fizz but it is also lovely with still water)
4-6oz caster sugar (start of with 4oz and add as necessary until you get your acquired taste. )
3 tsp Rosewater
Crushed ice and fresh mint to garnish

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients together in a large pitcher until the sugar has dissolved. You can then chill in the fridge and serve with lots of ice when ready! If you are not going for the rose version, then slice a few lemons and garnish with mint. Rose Lemonade To make this into Rose Lemonade, all you need to do is add rose water. You can buy this in the international section of your supermarket but I get mine from the Asian food market, a huge bottle for less than £2. I added 3 teaspoons to my pitcher which gave me the most refreshing, delicious drink. It really is quite a different taste and is really refreshing – a hit with everyone. Serve over ice with mint to garnish.
