Egypt Trip - by Katie Glover Jones

We had a fantastic all inclusive family holiday at Sharm-El-Sheik in Egypt. The weather was sunny with just the right heat during our Easter stay. My mum and Dad loved relaxing and the varied good quality of the food available.
Dad particularly enjoyed the unlimited amount of beer and spirits available from 11 a.m. Me and my sister, aged 6 and 8 at the time, loved the Ice cream on tap, the pool and beach. We all had a great time snorkelling in the warm clear water and swimming amongst the bright coloured fish.
Highlight of our stay though was the day trip to Cairo and the Giza Pyramids. History came to life for us all and it was like stepping back in time. As we walked around the sphinx and the pyramids the scene was breathtaking and unreal. We had the feeling Indiana Jones would appear at any moment.
The relics in the Cairo Museum were breathtaking, especially Tutan Carmen’s display. It was a lovely experience for the children to make papyrus in a studio we visited. A tiring and yet rewarding day excursion. Memories will last a lifetime but we do hope to go back there one day.
