New Parc: Chateau de Galinee Campsite - Al Fresco Holidays

Chateau de Galinee is the perfect resort for a young family. It’s small and friendly, with a great water park and has interesting and exciting places nearby.

The site is located at St Cast near St Malo in Brittany, north western France, so it’s in easy reach via the English Channel. It’s close to the south coast of England, making it easy to access via ferry for holidaying Britons. Of course, St Malo has gained a reputation as a place for great seafood, and actually has the one of the biggest concentrations of seafood restaurants in Europe!

The Chateau de Galinee site itself features two Al Fresco mobile home types: the Rossini Riviera and the Vivaldi Riviera. The Rossini Riviera accommodates six people and has an en-suite shower room connecting to the master bedroom.. The Vivaldi Riviera, meanwhile, can sleep up to eight people and is ideal for couples and large families.

A number of great places to visit can be found in and around the St Cast area as well as numerous coastal paths to explore. The chateau of St Malo is worth seeing; it’s now the town museum. In the same vein, the Solidor Tower in Saint-Servan is a 14th-century site with scale models, nautical instruments and other objects related to sea travel in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

There’s a real independent spirit to St Malo. Indeed, it once declared itself independent from France, stating: “Not French, not Breton, but Malouins.” If you fancy yourself as a bit of a free spirit, or simply just fancy a holiday by the sea, we heartily recommend Chateau de Galinee in St Cast.
