This week at Les Mediterranées, Languedoc - Al Fresco Holidays

Cynthea, our Al Fresco Rep on Les Mediterranées in the Languedoc sent us this week’s diary entry:

We have had a really “buzzy” weekend – people everywhere – due to the French Holiday. (The French certainly know how to enjoy their “bridge” weekends, making the most of a Thursday public holiday, such as Ascension Day, to allow them to continue over to the Sunday, giving them a 4-day break.)

The weather could have been a little kinder, but never mind. Everything is open now – so Fun, Fun, Fun! And then more Fun!

At the moment, we have an English group who relaxed their way down by train, catching the EuroStar from London to Lille, and then SNCF to Agde, just 6 miles from here. The high-speed TGV, the pride of France, is also available for this part of the journey. They finished the last leg by taxi. We have only known of two other families coming by train in the four years of working on this campsite. But it certainly seemed to be hassle-free – and they found it a good alternative to flying. Apparently it cost less as well.

More next week!
