Ancient and Modern? Enjoy World War II celebrations and Funky Zumba Fitness in Rousillon - Al Fresco Holidays

Hello and welcome to Camping Le Brasilia’s blog brought to you by Emma and Terri-Anne, Al Fresco Reps resident at the park.

Here we are on Le Brasilia campsite, loving the summer sunshine after the trials of winter.

Much has changed here in the South of France since last year’s season. We are now a FIVE STAR camping resort, with all staff having worked hard over the winter to make the changes a reality. A big plus is that I’m currently writing this blog from the comfort of my own mobile home, absolute bliss. Anyone who has been before will be aware of the trouble getting a wifi connection. Well, now we have 6 wifi hotspots around the campsite enabling a connection from anywhere on site!

Opening the campsite has been great fun for Terri-Anne and myself. We spent a day cleaning gutters, climbing through bushes and battling with the wind while attempting to climb ladders. Soon we’ll both be jacquelines of all trades!

So it’s been busy ever since we opened the doors to Le Brasilia on the 16th April to all our amazing guests. The campsite’s buzzing with excitement. Masses of entertainment during the day including the new fresh and funky ‘Zumba Fitness’ classes held by animatrice, Magali. It’s sure to get pulses racing so don’t forget to join in when you arrive.

On a final note, here’s a list of events going on in the local area for May:

If motors and country rock is your thing then book a holiday for the 15th May where a Motor Country Show will take place at the port of Canet.

Alternatively why not come along to the Fête de la Victoire and enjoy the celebrations and a reconstruction of the 2nd World War military camp, with trenches, tents, heavy armaments. Nothing will be forgotten. There’s also an impressive procession of 60 army vehicles.

That’s it for now. Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for next month’s blog.
