La Croix Du Vieux Pont review - Al Fresco Holidays
Laura Bryant, a Thomson Al Fresco Facebook competition winner, won an Easter break to one of our parcs, La Croix Du Vieux Pont, and I think we are safe to say it was a hit! Here’s what she thought..
We stayed here this Easter hols (the first week of the school holidays) with Thomson Al Fresco. We had amazing weather, and the site was clean, tidy and very well maintained. The mobile home we stayed in was modern (less than a year old – I think!) and very clean, the Al Fresco staff were friendly and really helpful, going the extra mile – providing hand delivered car directions to Disneyland and dropping off an iron and ironing board to the mobile home really promptly following a request from us!
The site is an easy ride down from Calais, and the owners run a trip each week to Paris and Disneyland (extra cost) on their luxury double-decker coach. There are several lakes where we enjoyed fishing, riding on pedalo’s and kayaking. Cycling, walking, pony club (off site), bouncy castle, gokarts, trampolines, a lake side beach, playgrounds and mini golf were also available, and there was lots of open grassy areas and a fab pool complex.
The local area offers plenty to see, including the magnificent castle at Pierrefonds and a visit to the Armistice clearing is also recommended. This is a much larger site than where we would ordinarily choose but it was quiet and very family orientated and we would definitely return again!
