A day in the life of an Al Fresco rep - Al Fresco Holidays
Have you been reading our posts, hearing about our fun-filled parcs and wondering what life would be like working on an Al Fresco parc, instead of holidaying there? Well now you don’t have to!
It’s a challenging job – no two days are ever the same, you’re constantly on call, working without supervision and dealing with all sorts of requests, but when a customer comes up to you and tells you what a fantastic holiday they’ve had and thanks you personally for your help – there’s no better feeling.
You’ll also be living with some of the most beautiful places in Europe literally on your doorstep for you to explore on your day off, and amazing continental weather – what’s not to love?!
So, here is an average working day:
Morning – Reception starts at 9am, soon customers will arrive to find out your recommendations for day trips out and to ask you any questions they have about the campsite or mobile home, you’ll also need to visit all the customers departing that day. After reception it’s time to get stuck in – making sure each mobile home is spotlessly clean for the afternoon’s arrivals, distributing any baby packs, making the beds, changing gas bottles and doing any basic maintenance jobs that need doing.
Afternoon – Customers can arrive at any time throughout the day and you’ll need to be ready to greet them with a smile and show them into their accommodation that you have prepared for them earlier – it’s a great feeling when they remark on how lovely their accommodation is. Evening reception can be a time to catch up on any paperwork ie plotting new bookings into your rooming charts, you’ll also need to visit some of your customers and check they’re having a great holiday.
If you have read the above knowing this could be for you, we are looking for the following positions:
- Parc Supervisors (Responsible for organising a large team and the day to day running on a campsite, applicants should have previous experience of working in the camping industry)
- Senior Representatives (Responsible for organising a small team of Al Fresco staff on a campsite)
- Overseas Representatives (Cleaning and preparing accommodation, providing information on the local area, customer visits, basic maintenance)
- Children’s Club Reps (Responsible for organising a fun-packed programme of activities for all our younger customers and assisting with the other duties involved in the smooth running of the Al Fresco operation. Applicants for this role must have at least 6 months experience of working with children)
If any of these appeal to you, visit here to apply – http://bit.ly/dQmdjz
