Telegraph rates Serignan one of top beaches in France - Al Fresco Holidays
From Saturday Telegraph 15.05.10 Travel section headed “The best beaches in France”- which is accompanied by an interactive online guide:
Why go: Sérignan …is wild enough with untrammelled sands, dunes and towards the western end, great salt meadows…” There’s a light scattering of mini-golf and pizza-eating development but the great thing is none of this impinges on the beach. There you may breathe, bathe and laze free, like pioneer settlers.
What’s there to do: Nature has provided a big beach and lots of sea. The wise people of Sérignan have decided that holidaymakers are quite clever enough to use them without needing much help.
Bars and bites: Two beach bars by the main car park. Or amble to the few bars and restaurants in the development back from the beach. The Tiki with its red thatched roofs, would be a good choice.”
I might add that with amazing spa and swimming facilities, restaurants and entertainments, a cool “camping auberge” style shabby chique deco and a fab traiteur take away, the parc next door is one of my favourites too!! – Lynn
